‘The View’s Ana Navarro Shares Excitement Over Hosting Night Two Of DNC Recalling Fleeing Communism As A Little Girl
Ana Navarro is celebrating she is one of the hosts of the Democratic National Convention starting on Monday, August 19, from the United Center in Chicago.
The View and CNN political commentator has strongly supported the Democratic Party over the last decade, expressing her support for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
In a video she posted on Instagram, Navarro revealed she would be the host of Night 2 of the DNC, the same night former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama are set to speak.
“I can’t tell you how much it means to me,” Navarro said in the video about being a host at the DNC. “I’m a little refugee girl who fled communism, who fled Nicaragua at the age of eight, found freedom, found opportunity, found a home in America, and for me to have the chance to stand on that stage and help my girl, Kamala, make history and become the Democratic nominee, it’s just such a mind-blowing moment.”
Navarro had identified as a Republican for many years but stopped supporting them when Donald Trump completely transformed the political party.
Other hosts for the DNC include Tony Goldwin (Night 1), Mindy Kaling (Night 3), and Kerry Washington on Night 4 when Kamala Harris officially accepts the nomination.
