Back for its fifth year, the ARRAY 360 conversation and screening series will feature films and more from directors Patricia Cardoso, Bill Duke Ed Zwick over the next two months.
Starting on August 3, Cardoso will be kicking off the 2024 program at ARRAY’s Creative Campus in LA’s Historic Filipinotown with a screening of her Sundance award winning 2002 film Real Women Have Curves. Two week later, DuVernay and ARRAY will be hosting a daylong Filmmaker Tribute for Bill Duke. With a spotlight on the Palme d’Or nominated director/actor’s A Rage in Harlem from 1991, plus 1997’s Hoodlum and 1992’s Deep Cover, the 2025 Hollywood Walk of Fame recipient will participate in a one-on-one chat with Origin director DuVerney before a live audience.
Just under a month later, Glory director Zwick will give live commentary on the Civil War era film that brought Denzel Washington his first Oscar glory in 1990. Undoubtedly, Zwick will also remark on some of what he wrote about the triple Oscar winner in his memoir Hits, Flops And Other Illusions: My Fortysomething Years in Hollywood , which was released earlier this year.
Tickets for all the screenings and convos are free, with registration starting 14 days before each event. So, go here to ARRAYPLAY to get those Real Women Have Curves tix now.
