EXCLUSIVE: The North Road Company President of Television Amy Israel continues to assemble her executive team with the hire of wiip’s Josh Stern as well as a duo who had worked for her at Showtime, Jamie Pross and Madison Heim-Jinivisian. Stern will serve as EVP of Television, Pross as VP of Television and Heim-Jinivisian as Creative Executive.
These are the first TV creative executive appointments since Israel joined Peter Chernin’s The North Road in late 2023 from Showtime where she had spearheaded such series as the Emmy-nominated Ripley (which eventually migrated to Netflix), Fellow Travelers, Yellowjackets, The Affair and Billions.
“I am thrilled to bring three exceptional creative executives on board,” Israel said. “They each embody an entrepreneurial spirit and drive to produce bold, high-quality, commercial series with the best artists and producers in the world. Josh’s impeccable taste, talent relationships and business acumen will be invaluable to our business. Having previously worked with Jamie and Maddie, I’ve seen first-hand their ability to advocate for and develop material with both emerging and established storytellers. Combined, these three key hires will make significant contributions to North Road’s growth.”
As Creative Lead at wiip, Stern executive produced the Peabody Award-winning Dickinson, starring Hailee Steinfeld for Apple TV+, and Dummy, starring Anna Kendrick for Quibi and Roku. Prior to wiip, he was with Darren Aronofsky’s Protozoa, where he oversaw the development of The Whale; executive produced Aronofsky’s Mother! and Pablo Larraín’s Jackie; developed and sold Kindred for FX; and developed, packaged, and executive produced The Good Nurse for Netflix.
Pross most recently served as Manager of Original Programming at Showtime where she played a key role in the development and production of such series as Yellowjackets, Billions, Super Pumped: The Rise Of Uber, and The Woman In The Wall.
Heim-Jinivisian, in her previous role as Coordinator of Original Programming at Showtime, contributed to Yellowjackets and A Gentleman In Moscow.
In addition to Israel, the senior executive team of The North Road, which was launched in 2022, includes Jenno Topping (Chernin Entertainment), Chris Coelen (Kinetic Content), Connor Schell (Words + Pictures), Rasha and Stephanie Drachkovitch (44 Blue Productions), Ken Druckerman (Left/Right), Banks Tarver (Left/Right), Sarah Wetherbee and Emre Sahin (Karga Seven Pictures).
The company’s upcoming series include Netflix’s The Madness, from Stephen Belber; Apple TV+’s Chief of War, created and led by Jason Momoa; The Yankees Win, from documentarian Jonathan Hock; and, with HBO, a docuseries on controversial baseball legend Barry Bonds.
